Suzuki LJ80
My wife found some old pictures of our Suzuki LJ80. The LJ80 in one of the forefathers of the Samurai. Smaller, lighter, better horsepower to weight ratio, better angles of accent and decent. It was an ideal vehicle for the Hawaiian Islands, not so good for the mainland. This little "Jeep" is one of the last vehicles to drive completely around the island of Oahu. Shortly after our last trip around Kaena Point (Makaha - Haleiwa) the large bolder that we used to traverse the area where the road had fallen into the ocean tumbled and left only an almost vertical cliff from the mountain to the sea. This is the most fun 4x4 that we ever owned. The little sucker would go anywhere. Sometimes very slowly (35mph over the Pali), but it got there.
